Progress Lands

Hunger and food

Satiety is a 0–100% expedition resource. The normal 1× rate drains a full bar in 30 minutes by default. Outside your own Camp, Idle and Rest use 0.25×, Move uses 1×, and Scavenge, gathering, fighting, and fleeing use 1.5×. That means 120, 30, or 20 minutes from full to empty. Death, Camp time, and paused offline progression do not drain satiety.

Hunger states and effects

Well fed (75–100% by default): final HP regeneration is multiplied by 1.25, which is a 25% bonus.

Fed (25–below 75% by default): no hunger modifier applies.

Hungry (above 0–below 25% by default): final HP regeneration is multiplied by 0.75 and outgoing player damage by 0.90, which are 25% and 10% penalties.

Starving (0%): final HP regeneration is multiplied by 0.50 and outgoing player damage by 0.75. Each full active minute outside your Camp also removes 5% of maximum HP, with a minimum of 1 HP per minute, but starvation never reduces you below 1 HP.

These are the default values. Administrators can configure the normal drain time, each action rate, thresholds, hunger-state multipliers, and starvation damage. The hunger tile in the world HUD shows the currently configured hunger-state effects.

Where to see it

The Operative top bar shows the current satiety percentage, and the Operative panel also names the current state. The floating food tile below the world top bar shows the active state; hover it, focus it with the keyboard, or tap it to read the live effects.

Restoring satiety

An Amnesiac Mussel or Nopal Paddle restores 1 satiety point. At a completed Cooking Place, automatic Cooking level-1 recipes turn five mussels into one Muscle Memory Chowder or five paddles into one Campfire Nopales; either meal restores 10 satiety points.

Satiety cannot exceed 100%. A consumable is not used when none of its configured effects would help.

Practical choices

Return to your Camp to stop the drain. Idle and Rest slow it to 0.25× outside Camp by default. At 0%, Camp, Idle, or paused offline progression stops direct starvation HP loss, but the Starving regeneration and damage penalties remain until you eat.
